The Delaware Center for Horticulture is excited to announce our 39th & ½ Rare Plant Auction – our first-ever virtual auction! While we wait for a time when it is safe for all of us to gather together again, we couldn’t let another year go by without celebrating our signature event in some form or fashion.
The 39th & ½ Rare Plant Virtual Auction is open for bidding online from March 29 to April 9, 2021. Similar to RPA events of the past, there are two ticket levels available:
• Preview ticket: $100 – provides 24-hour early access to peruse and bid on online auction items
• General ticket: $50
Placing your bids will be easy using the online auction platform, Handbid, and like always, our auction items will be rare, unique, and phenomenal. Your ticket purchase gives you exclusive access to the same amazing and one-of-a-kind plants and non-plant items you’ve come to expect from the Auction... and this time, you get to enjoy the event from the comfort of your own home.
Registration is in three parts:
1) Buy your ticket to bid below. All guests must purchase a ticket to bid.
2) Make an account on Handbid.com using this link. Please use the same email address for both your ticket and your Handbid account, as it will make our check-in process smoother. All guests must have an account on Handbid to bid.
3) When the auction starts you will be "checked in" by Gordon Starr, our Virtual Auction Manager. This must occur before you can bid on items. If you are having any trouble placing bids please contact him. All guests will be verified for steps 1 and 2, and will then be checked in to bid.
To get the most out of this event, you can download the Handbid app from the Apple iTunes App Store or the Google Play store!
We hope you will join us for what we believe will be an exquisite horticultural experience!
