Event Description:

The Delaware Native Species Commission invites you to attend a summit meeting of conservationists and conservation-minded Delawareans to forge a new, collaborative partnership to protect Delaware’s flora and fauna.  Featured presenters include Collin O’Mara, Doug Tallamy, and Delaware State Senator Stephanie Hansen.  Roundtable discussions will identify impactful, collaborative, conservation opportunities in both natural areas and built landscapes.  Celebrate the launch of Delaware Naturally, a statewide education and outreach effort to raise awareness of Delaware’s rich biodiversity and motivate conservation action.  Join us and help safeguard Delaware’s natural heritage.

Biodiversity enhances resilience.  Delaware’s conservation community comprises a wide array of professionals, advocates, organizations, and volunteers working in myriad ways to safeguard our diverse habitats and ecosystems.  This workshop offers a forum to explore and discuss potential collaborative opportunities to coordinate our conservation efforts and amplify our collective impact.

Enhancing outdoor spaces makes a difference for people and the environment. Discover several success stories in Delaware that created a sustainable venue for an improved environment while providing safe, healthy, and fun learning areas. A discussion on how collaborations can strengthen the biodiversity in Delaware’s outdoor built environment will follow the presentations.
