Take a break from winter to join us for this informative lecture on how green roofs and elevated gardens can be implemented from the smallest structures in your own home to expansive rooftops throughout the world. Author, president and founder of North America's first nursery specializing in green roof plants and horticultural consulting, Edmund C. Snodgrass, will bring this exciting topic to life, demonstrating how roof gardens of all sizes can contribute positively to our ecosystem. Prior to the start of the presentation, enjoy a social hour in DCH's beautiful atrium from 6 - 7pm, while mingling with our guest lecturer, and other registrants. Light snacks are included and drinks will be available for purchase. The presentation starts at 7pm.

About The Guest Lecturer 
Edmund has consulted on projects throughout the US and also in England, France, Sweden, New Zealand, China, Australia and Morocco. Since its inception, Emory Knoll Farms (Street, MD), has supplied plants for over 4000 green roof projects throughout the United States and Canada. Edmund collaborates on green roof research with academic institutions including Penn State University, University of Melbourne, University of Maryland, University of Auckland, and Sheffield University. Edmund is the co-author of Green Roof Plants: A Resource and Plant Guide (Timber Press, 2006), The Green Roof ManualA Professional Guide To Design, Installation and Maintenance.  (Timber Press 2010) and Small Green Roofs (Timber Press 2011), The New American Landscape: Leading Voices on the Future of Sustainable Gardening (Timber Press 2011)
