Why do you garden: Love gardening for activity, creating, caring for, enjoying it and definitely shopping all Summer long at garden centers from local locations and country garden centers. Love Rosehill Plantery on Rt 9 and the Amish garden center on Starr Road in Strasburg, Pennsylvania.
How has gardening impacted you during this time: An loving activity while homebound.
What do you have in your garden? We have a great variety of flowers, Cucumbers on trellis, Big Boy & Plum Tomatoes, Pole Lima Beans on the Arbor, Italian & White Eggplant, Lemons, Fig Tree, Green & Red Lettuce, Endive, Kale, Chilli & Red Bell & Jalapeno Peppers, Lots of pots with multi-variety of Basil, Blue Berries, Raspberries, Black Berries and a variety of Spices.
Do you have any problems with disease or pests? If so, how are you dealing with this problem? Our Dinner Plate Hibiscus gets mites that eat the leaves. We spray the leaves with a mixture of water & Dawn Dish Soap.
